@The_Display_Guy That’d be great, but I wouldn’t even do a 2 point. Just pop them in their most accurate modes & judge them against a reference monitor.
It’d hopefully force the manufacturers take OOTB accuracy more seriously.
The S95H is a great TV, but I don’t think it deserves to be called the best.
It’s processing is far behind Sony/TCL and even LG in my testing.
I think this is a big deal for buyers and should not be overlooked.
So far I believe the Bravia 8 II deserves best of the year again.
@High_Def_News@The_Display_Guy The lack of Dolby Vision and the damn frame they have makes the TV an easy NO for me, and at 83 inches it’s not even worth it.
I love the Sony Bravia 9 and plan to move it to the family room and get the B9 mark 2
Huge thanks for the shoutout, everyone! You're truly the best reviewers on YouTube, and yes, Jennifergala demos are featured on Sony TVs at Best Buy in the USA. A massive thank you to @whisperstatus74 and @FomoReviews for your unwavering support over the years. 🙏📺 #Gratitude#Reviewers#Demos#Support#tech
@High_Def_News I don’t agree with a calibrated TV shootout as almost no buyers will do this.
I think out of the box the Bravia 8 II still has a slight edge.
@lawmf I’m not sure of the exact generation of each panel, but the Samsung was definitely using a newer panel than the Sony & it was noticeably evident in certain HDR content.
@High_Def_News Is it confirmed that Samsung is using a 5th generation OLED panel? The Sony Bravia 8 Mark II which was not upgraded this year and still has the 4th generation OLED panel won last year but lost this year. Sony will have to decide if it wants to stay and compete.
@Bigdogcashc0zr@lawmf Sony isn’t done with OLED. They have the Bravia 6 coming later this year & I fully expect at least one premium OLED offering from them next year if not two.
Just a reminder that the Value Electronics TV Shootout is happening tomorrow.
I’ll be in attendance & will post the winners tomorrow.
I’ll also give my subjective impressions of the sets early next week.

What a waste of time and money. This is a sponsored event to make SONY every time win. As much as you juggle with words, this is just all about Sony.
@sluggo080976 I’m pretty sure it is a Tandem panel, but the one that won was a 65” QD-OLED, which means the winning attributes are not 100% applicable to the 83” model.
