This really really upset some people and I totally get that, in my opinion the right approach here would be to make it optional. Add a disclaimer of some kind for bigger islands, also the platform excuse is weird because you can't play STW on Mobile or Switch either.

@arCtyC also im not sure if anybody will see this but loot late game in all reload maps is a big problem usually, this could maybe be solved with a system similar to BR enhanced reboots, with loot reaching a higher tier later in the match?

@arCtyC Great map! Lots of fun to play and has great art direction! Not sure if the team behind it has been made aware but the minimap appears dark, I believe this is because of the time of day that was set in the editor when the image was captured.

@arCtyC great to hear! huge fan of the work you guys on the reload team do especially from an environment design perspective, these maps are a very huge source of inspiration for me as a UEFN creator! Are there any other public-facing people who worked on reload i can give a follow?

@TyCon_3 Community is calling the io return a retcon but the real retcon was them supposedly getting disbanded after c3s2. Lore made it clear they were in control of multiple realities, makes sense that eventually sometime after loop control disbanded the rest of them stepped in

I hate the random hate boner the community has just grown for the I.O overtime I get they were like the only faction to get some type of ending but no one seems to bring up how rushed and incomplete that ending was in reality They didn’t NEED to come back but I’m glad they are

Lately, I've been reading comments from people complaining that Epic should reduce support for maps that some don't consider "creative," such as those by Brainrot or similar types. If they knew the work behind them, the investment, the jobs they generate, and the players they attract, they probably wouldn't be talking like that. The real problem is that Epic is spending money on duplicate maps or clearly clickbait or XP abuse maps. What's really missing is more moderation and control over the maps.

@QuantumCamper They should’ve kept them in the game tbh. The only person I really saw complaining was Nick. Instead of removing Shockwaves completely after 6+ chapters, they could’ve just reduced the stack size from 6 to 2 and balanced them that way

NEW YEAR, NEW GRIFT I saw a post about this and decided to look into it. Right now, the highest paid promoted slot is an RvB map with SINGLE PLAYER LOBBIES, that alone should raise eyebrows. This isn’t an accident. When you load into the map, you’re placed into a boxed area containing matchmaking portals that redirect players to another map using the same thumbnail, but under a different creator code. So why do this, I have an educated guess... The payment method tied to the promotion will be canceled and/or a stolen identity/credit card is used to run the promotion in the first place And when the fallout happens, who will get punished? The creator whose map ultimately received the traffic, highly unlikely... This mirrors patterns we’ve already seen with XP abuse and TikTok scam loops. The platform often cannot definitively prove that both accounts belong to the same individual, which means this can easily become a weaponized tactic to get other creators flagged, demonetized, or banned. So in the end, it seems this will be another situation that will end up abused and those willing to commit fraud will benefit. On any platform where money is involved, these types of individuals will do anything to earn a piece of the profits. Without stronger verification like biometric checks from Clear (similar to what platforms like LinkedIn already use) this type of abuse will continue. I am positive this is not what Epic had envisioned when creating the Promoted Row, I do think this needs to be addressed sooner than later though, as it is only going to get worse. Because if creators are already willing to do this so openly today, what should we expect once microtransactions are introduced? I feel guilty tagging, but I feel it is important to get eyes on this as soon as possible. @TimSweeneyEpic @MarkRein @EpicGames @FNCreate
