Q. Why was Fade Away selected in just a very short amount of time? 💛 I recorded the title track, ‘Fade Away,’ and it perfectly matched the feeling I had in mind for the song. 💛 There were many candidate tracks, but this one was at the top of the list. As soon as I heard it, I knew I wanted it to be the title track. The staff and I were in complete agreement, so we decided on it very quickly. I think that made the album preparation process much easier. I also wrote the lyrics myself. Q. What kind of story did you want to write? 💛 While editing a vlog on my own, I discovered the ‘dissolve’ transition effect between scenes. As I was using it, I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice to write lyrics inspired by this?’ That’s how I began working on them. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to capture the feeling of being forgotten as something truly unfortunate. In the end, I think a very cinematic song was created. It’s a track that’s personally very meaningful to me, and one I believe I’ll grow even more attached to over time. Q. Is there any reason why you always release your solo albums during cold winter? 💛 Since I was born in winter, well, not exactly a ‘winter child,’ but a ‘winter adult’, I thought it would suit the cold season well. I worked on it with a friend, and I hope I’ll be able to share it with all of you soon. #양요섭 #요섭
