📸 Principals and vice-principals from Rainy River, Lakehead and Superior-Greenstone came together on April 13 to collaborate, share and learn together with OPC for the 2nd annual Northern Collective Conference. Everyone left with a larger network, some new inspiration and tools to bring back to their schools and their leadership.

In 2006, I would have benefited from having this information as a (first-year) teacher of students who celebrate Ramadan. Students shared with me and I listened and learned but I should have done more. @SGDSBoard

🧵 cont'd...To me the day was great and met my connection needs but to her she needed something different. So, I changed course, we extended bedtime. We chatted, read and cuddled. As she was falling asleep she said, “thanks Mom, that’s just what I needed.” #momlearning

My daughter wanted to have a Mom and daughter day. She was reaching out for a connection and I was there! It was a great day and we had many wonderful moments together. At bedtime she was in tears that we didn’t have enough time with me and she wanted more. 🧵 #selfreg #connECT
