Good morning: The Newark City School District is now closed for today, Tuesday, January 18, due to road conditions and staffing. Thank you, and have a great day!

Newark City Schools will have a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, January 18, due to the road conditions. We are also continuing to evaluate staffing this evening and throughout the morning. Our job fair for substitute positions will be moved back to Wed., Jan. 19, from 4 to 6 p.m.

There will be no school tomorrow, Fri., Jan. 14, for a calamity day due to staffing issues. With Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, this will give our staff and students a 4-day weekend to rest and get healthy. It is our plan to return in-person next Tuesday.
