I don't agree with that. Iran has been threatening the U.S. and Europe for decades. They have committed terrorist attacks against Europe and the U.S. for decades.
Regardless, Europe has made itself irrelevant, so it doesn't matter what we think. We will be dependent on the U.S. for at least the next 20 years. Best we can do is try to reconcile with the Americans while rebuilding Europe.

I have very little sympathy for the European complaining about the war in Iran. All of this basically our own fault.
Afraid of high energy prices? --> we made ourselves energy dependent on Russia and the Middle East
Afraid of refugee waves from the Middle East? --> it is our own policy choices that caused that. We can just stop the boats but choose not to
