You do NOT listen to what Jesus said, you twist His words into a license for Sodom while spitting on the Church He bled for on the Cross and birthed in fire at Pentecost 33 AD. Corinthians 6:9-10 ( the literal Word of God through St. Paul): “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” The Eastern Orthodox Church is the very Body of Christ, the pillar and bulwark of truth (1 Timothy 3: 15). To reject her is to reject HIM. Pride is a sin, and it is not listening to Jesus, for it is the same rebellion that nailed the Son of God to the tree. Matthew 18: 17-18: “If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven…” Note: “Tell it to the Church” only makes sense if the Church is a visible, structured institution with real power to excommunicate: exactly as the Orthodox Church has done for 2,000 years. NO salvation outside the Church!

The "cope" here is your heretical self-made ecclesiology. Romans 12:9: “Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.” (Love must be sincere, which includes hating evil (heresy, schism, rejection of the apostolic Church). Fake “love” that tolerates falsehood is not true love.) Exodus 15:3 “The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is his name.” Revelation 2:6 (Jesus Himself speaking): "Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate." (Jesus commends hating false doctrine and praises the church for it.) Matthew 10: 34 (Jesus): “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” Psalm 139:21-22: "Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord? And do I not loathe those who rise up against you? I hate them with complete hatred; I count them my enemies." Psalm 97:10: "O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked." ORTHODOX Theocracy- uncorrupted for over 2000 years. No one likes the idea that the church they’ve chosen to follow for life is corrupt to the core. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it.
