Crazy that the 2025 rate of the RTP is $18.60 an hour, 40 hours full time (UNSW, which is still higher than the base rate).

One of the few ancestors I know something about on my Dad's side (given I haven't heard from him since I was about 7).
My great-grandad, Pvt. Lynton Alexander Griffiths, served 1940-49, saw service at both Tobruk/North Africa and the Pacific. Stationed in Japan after the war.

Got an Ancestry DNA test from my partner from my birthday so I've been attempting to set up some sort of a family tree on the site. Holy shit my family is a complicated mess.

Spoke to soon...caught up on the proof of citizenship hurdle. Don't have a passport and can't afford one (or a proof of citizenship certificate) right now... 😭 Scholarship cut off is September 13 so I think I'm buggered re starting in February. 💀

@Michael09709536 It was pretty straight-forward (at least so far)! The thing I worked the most on was the research proposal itself, otherwise it's been smooth. 👍
