Teaching different interpretations by planning a historian’s dinner party. Student had to research a key historian of WW1 then as a group decide the seating plan . Round 1: harmony and polite conversation. Round 2: ding dong battle and a food fight!

Dr Helen Fry | WWII Historian
"Women in Intelligence" delves into the significant but often underrecognised roles that women played in British Intelligence during the first half of the twentieth century, with a particular focus on the World War eras. The book highlights how these women were instrumental in espionage, codebreaking, and other crucial intelligence activities during the wars. My main goal with the publication was to bring visibility to these brave and ingenious women who have remained largely invisible in the broader narratives of intelligence history. Their stories are profound, detailing their efforts both behind enemy lines and at home, where they supported the intelligence operations in countless ways. Due to this book's success, I've been inspired to delve deeper into this topic for further research, leading to another book project which is scheduled for publication by Yale in 2025. This reflects not only the demand for more recognition of women's roles in intelligence but also my ongoing commitment to bringing these stories to light. If you haven't read the book, by this time next year, you might be playing catch-up! Paperback: amzn.to/46JttVR
