7th Grade Science @GriffinMSGators finished up a massive PBL over natural and artificial selection and how species adapt over time. They used @GetSchoolAI and @canva to get their learning and show their understanding. One creature was a cross between a crab and a capybara!

TX History classes @GriffinMSGators are participating in mock trials this week. Students have been preparing for the trial for many days, including working with trial assistants in @GetSchoolAI. Great job 7th Grade!

Ms. Weber's classes are working through a playlist on solving equations. Students are using @SnorklApp to help provide immediate feedback throughout the playlist. What a great use of blended learning! @JeffGuelker @PulisScience

Blanton's Skills for Living classes are doing a "Chopped" competition. Students were given a list of ingredients and used @GetSchoolAI to help determine some recipe options (real world). Best part, I get to be a judge on Thursday! @JeffGuelker

Stranger Things meets math. Well, not exactly, but 6th Math at Trent are doing a playlist with the theme of "Integer Things". It is self-paced with teacher checkpoints along the way. Lowman and McCarthy know how to meet students where they are. @JeffGuelker @PulisScience

Trent 6th Social Studies students are working through a Communism and Cold War playlist with teacher checkpoints. They will use @magicschoolai to analyze a rap battle between Communism and Capitalism plus have a conversation with Gorbachev. @JeffGuelker @OliviaBlackmon_

Mrs. Tuorto's Spanish I classes are doing a great blended station rotation over the yo form in verbs. In one station, students are having an entire conversation in Spanish with @GetSchoolAI. @GriffinMSGators

US History simulated events surrounding the Louisiana Purchase. Students were divided into the Press Room and Situation Room to prepare and then held a press conference to show their learning. What a great PBL opportunity! @JeffGuelker @OliviaBlackmon_ @FISDsocstudies

Trent 6 ILA finished off their projects with "No Words" presentations. Students used @GetSchoolAI to generate images that they used in their slides. They were not allowed to have words on the slides so they had to be experts on their topics. @JeffGuelker @OliviaBlackmon_

Presentation Day in 7th Science @GriffinMSGators. Students are presenting to a room full of astronauts about their upcoming journey into space. We are blending our presentations between physical posters and creative digital versions.

Bringing science into the real world! 6th graders @GriffinMSGators are creating "Tiny House" blueprints that show energy transformations. Project-Based Learning at its finest this week.

I had one of the best days of my time as a digital learning coach with the opportunity to work with our Functional Academics students at Griffin yesterday. These students learned about South America using @curipodofficial. I can't wait to go back! @GriffinMSGators
