We need to return to the original vision of the Founding Fathers, citizen senators and representatives serving in government for a short time, then returning to their occupations. Want your blood to boil? The average private sector American has 10-14 paid vacation days per year if they’re lucky. Members of Congress have 98-105 vacation days per year paid for by private sector Americans. Totally unacceptable. It needs to change.
