Reminder than the Utd sporting structure (Jim Ratcliffe, Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox) were perfectly content with Ruben Amorim, coming 15th last season, toiling around 6th this season, and selling Mainoo. Change was precipitated by a public airing of dirty laundry and an emotional meltdown by Amorim, not due to performances.

It was common knowledge Newcastle were offering more to Mbeumo, Cunha and Sesko, and they all chose Utd.
Guimarães, Joelinton, Gordon and Tonali are all earning the same as Mbeumo and Sesko
