Never forget: Argentina was never supposed to be in that group. During the World Cup draw, they were initially placed in Group I, not Group J. Then, right in the middle of the live worldwide broadcast, it was changed without any clear explanation. People are still expected to pretend nothing happened.

The more I watch it, the more I can't understand it. Its a blatant penalty, what else is he supposed to do in that situation? The fact it was given and then OVERTURNED by VAR... I have no words. Credit to Djed, thank fuck it didn't affect the outcome.

I still don’t get how, seemingly, all match and VAR officials (both on duty for the game, and in the TV studios offering analysis) agree this isn’t a penalty… yet anyone who has actually ever played the game agrees it is a stonewall caste iron penalty 🤦‍♂️
