If you're looking for a pithy take home about why proportionality is important? "If you can fit the QRS complex inside the T? No bueno." So you have a "normal" size T but it towers over the R voltage? Think occlusion. #EMConf #FOAMed @NSLIJ_EM

A key point I forgot at #EMConf today: What ties together all the bad/early/subtle EKGs? "Area under the curve." T waves taller, wider, fatter, with lead in ST morphology flatter/convex, take-off pt. below isoelectric ALL inc. area below that T. #FOAMed

#EMConf with @ercowboy talking Cath Activations: "Forget STEMI/NSTEMI- NSTEMI is an occlusion that we missed on EKG. The lit claims a large # of non-diagnostic EKGs, but really there are a lot of non-diagnostic physicians." #FOAMed

Epi does not improve survival with good neuro outcomes 2. Too much epi increases O2 demand & decreases cerebral perfusion pressure 3. Epi ≤20min from cardiac arrest maybe beneficial 4. Epi >20min from cardiac arrest maybe harmful 5. PARAMEDIC-2 Trial is Coming

Can you still consider yourself an adult if you purposely walk into sprinklers on hot days? ...asking for a friend?
