It was sarcasm about you claiming to be an insider. And even if someone covers the marketing they still want the money back. Thats how business works. In short, I’ll break it down for you simply.
It’s currently at $303 million. The movie theater takes 50% of that. So the studio is at $151.5 million so far.
The budget was $250 million and the marketing according to variety was $125 million. Making the total cost $375 million. If theaters take half (they do) then the movie needs to hit $750 million to break even.

Let me get this straight: The Deep was a black guy in the comic, and he wasn't really that bad. A-Train is white in the comic, and he's a massive piece of shit. They took The Deep and make him evil and white, and made A-Train good and black.
