I'm so proud to share that I had the honour to be Called to the Irish Bar by the Chief Justice of Ireland, Donal O'Donnell, at the Supreme Court & be the first Deaf person in Ireland to achieve this milestone and the first to use #IrishSignLanguage throughout my practice.

It is important that any SL interpreter training has to be deaf led because without deafies, interpreters won't be here in the first place. We at NIDITA are very keen to see more qualified interpreters in our two languages in Northern Ireland 2/2

The data shows what Deaf people want&need from their laws, what works & what does’t work when it comes to legislating for sign language. This data can be illustrative in the campaign for ISL&BSL legislation in NI, where there is an opportunity for progressive & impactful SL law.
