If it is perceived in the region that a deal with Iran allows the regime to survive and become more powerful over time, we will have poured gasoline on the conflicts in Lebanon and Iraq. A deal that is perceived to allow Iran to survive and possess the ability to control the Strait in the future will put Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Shia militias in Iraq on steroids.

@DavidS_Liberdad @ElizHagedorn What’s so nonsense about it? That he’s a bloodthirsty warlord that makes him no different than the brutal Assad to us Syrians?

🚨 NOW: Instead of following the original schedule to chopper to Trump National in Bedminster, NJ, President Trump has just stepped off Marine One to jump back on Air Force One en route to DC This was NOT part of the plan, which is causing a TON of speculation as to why 👀 As usual, 47 also showed his support for our Marines, presenting one a challenge coin. Truly a great Commander-in-Chief 🇺🇸

Tulsi Gabbard "resigning" makes it more likely Trump is seriously considering a resumption of the war, which would be catastrophic for everyone except Russia and China.

Trump cancelled his Trump National Golf Club trip this weekend & will not attend his son's wedding. He will remain at the White House for the three-day weekend. Tulsi Gabbard just resigned & her deputy (RFK Jr's daughter-in-law) resigned two days ago reportedly over the Iran War. They're about to start bombing again...

Tulsi is a patriot, a great asset to the administration, and a dear friend. I'm sorry to see her go, but certainly understand that family comes first. She and her husband Abraham will be in my prayers as they face this next challenge together, and she has my gratitude for being a great addition to the administration and a loyal confidante. Godspeed Tulsi!

Honored to work with you @TulsiGabbard — and prayers for Abe. Two great Americans…and even better people.
Tulsi Gabbard 🌺@TulsiGabbard

I am deeply grateful for the trust President Trump placed in me and for the opportunity to lead @ODNIgov for the last year and a half. Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026. My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.

We are living in a very strange era where even official embassies and government accounts increasingly behave like political marketing agencies rather than credible sources of information. This post is a perfect example. It presents selective numbers without context to create the illusion of a successful recovery in Syria while ignoring the structural reality on the ground. 1.5 million refugee returns sounds impressive until you remember that Syria already had more than 13 million displaced people before Assad’s fall, and that returns were already happening throughout 2023 and 2024 for many reasons unrelated to success or stability. Many returned because they could no longer survive abroad, faced deportation pressure, legal insecurity, aid cuts, economic hardship, or exhaustion after years of displacement. At the same time, internal displacement continued even after the political transition. The economic claims are similarly misleading. Promoting figures like 18,000 registered companies while millions inside Syria still struggle for food, electricity, medicine, fuel, and basic survival is not serious analysis. Syria still suffers from destroyed infrastructure, corruption, banking paralysis, weak institutions, armed fragmentation, unemployment, and collapsing purchasing power That is not what a genuine recovery looks like. If the situation were truly stable and prosperous, massive humanitarian dependency would not persist, people would not continue fleeing, and ordinary Syrians would not live under constant economic uncertainty. This is why blindly trusting polished embassy statements and politically convenient statistics has become increasingly dangerous. A logo, a flag, or an official government account no longer automatically guarantees honesty or credibility. People are now expected to ignore lived reality and believe carefully engineered narratives instead. That is the real crisis.
U.S. Embassy Syria@USEmbassySyria

A year ago, the United States decided to give Syria a chance at greatness by lifting sanctions and opening the door to investment. The results speak for themselves: 18,000+ companies registered in Damascus, 1.5 million refugees returned, and billions of dollars in investment pledged. We are pleased to launch comprehensive Syria Investor Guides – the most detailed publicly available market intelligence report for Syria - signaling American confidence that Syria can be a credible destination for responsible investment, enterprise, and integration. Real opportunities exist across sectors – electricity, oil and gas, technology, telecommunications, real estate, and banking. American companies with their technological leadership, expertise, and standards are uniquely positioned to fill many of the gaps Syria urgently needs. These guides outline opportunities for American companies while helping connect Syria to trusted, resilient, and transparent economic partnerships that support long-term prosperity and stability. With smart governance, regional cooperation, and responsible investment, opportunity can become reality. sy.usembassy.gov/business/

I wish Tulsi Gabbard well and I hope her husband recovers from cancer. That being said, I reported months ago that @TulsiGabbard would be resigning soon and I was viciously attacked and smeared because the media refuses to treat me with respect and I am constantly ignored when my reporting is literally better than anyone’s. I am getting tired of it. The media needs to learn that my sourcing is accurate and I am much quicker than all of them.

We are at a moment that will define President Trump’s legacy. His instincts have been to finish the job he started in Iran, but he is being ill advised to pursue a deal that would not be worth the paper it is written on. Our commander-in-chief needs to allow America's skilled armed forces to finish the destruction of Iran's conventional military capabilities and reopen the strait.   Further pursuit of an agreement with Iran's Islamist regime risks a perception of weakness. We must finish what we started. It is past time for action.
