The best approach I ever found for dealing with behavioral issues was at a Montessori school that had a garden out back. Certain boys would get wound up and out of hand. Instead of detention or discipline, I would say: go dig a hole in the garden. Just go dig for a while. After an hour of getting hot and sweaty and moving dirt around, they would come back inside calm and relaxed and ready to engage. The energy had somewhere to go. Instead, most schools force that physical energy into a desk and then punish kids when it comes out sideways. The approach creates the problem it claims to solve.

Harsh truth: Homeschooling just hit 3.4 million students with stronger academic gains than public schools. By 2050, more than half of all students will homeschool. The exodus has already begun. The only question is whether you'll lead your family out or wait for permission.

I own a small bakery. Business has been slow. Rent is up. I was thinking about closing. Last Friday, a teenager came in. He looked nervous. He counted out change for a cookie. He was short 50 cents. "It's okay," I said. "Take it." He ate it at a table, looking at his math homework. He looked stuck. I used to be a math tutor. I walked over. "Quadratic equations?" He nodded. "I don't get it." I sat down and helped him for 20 minutes. He got it. He left smiling. The next day, he came back with two friends. They bought cookies. The day after that, five kids came. Apparently, he told the school, "The lady at the bakery helps with homework." Now, my bakery is the after-school hang-out spot. It's loud. It's messy. There are backpacks everywhere. Yesterday, I found a note in the tip jar. It was wrapped around a $20 bill. "Thanks for helping my son pass math. A Mom." I'm not closing the bakery. I think I finally found my purpose. It's not cookies. It's community.

🚨 SCHOOL PRINCIPAL BLOWS THE WHISTLE: “WE ARE DRUGGING KIDS FOR BEING KIDS” A former principal just said the quiet part out loud on camera. “Schools are drugging 6.4 million children for the crime of acting like children.” 6.4 MILLION kids on ADHD medication. 83% are BOYS. He explains how the pipeline works: • Boys show natural energy and curiosity • Classrooms with 30 kids can’t manage them • Teachers initiate ADHD referrals • Parents are told: “He can’t learn without medication” • The child is drugged into compliance “We are chemically restraining normal childhood behavior because schools can’t accommodate human development.” Diagnosis rates vary 300% between states - proving this isn’t biology… it’s subjective control. And now 11% of all American children are labeled ADHD. “A 7-year-old who can’t sit motionless for six hours isn’t sick. The system forcing him to sit still is sick.” This is a former principal admitting the system is chemically restraining normal childhood behavior. Is this child abuse… or “education” as usual?

NYTimes: We need to regulate homeschooling; we can't trust parents. Public School: 40% of kids bullied, 30% sexually harassed, 34% read at grade level, $18K a year. Homeschoolers: 0% bullied, 0% sexually harassed, 99% read above grade level, $1000 a year. Wild.

My husband was laid off a couple of months ago and I had to go back to work for the first time after raising and homeschooling our sons. I still do everything in my power to listen to ALL of the PDB podcasts. They lift my spirits and give me hope! #PBDpodcast700episode

I am currently catching up on this morning’s Glenn Beck show, after finishing Megyn Kelly at 2pm. I also listen to Charlie Kirk’s show, Michael Knowles, Matt Wash, occasionally Ben Shapiro but sometimes he gets on my nerves. Who do you guys recommend for podcasts? I rarely listen to music in the car anymore 😂😂😂😂 but my granddaughters listen when they’re with me, so that makes me happy.

@elonmusk That's such a great concept. My husband says that stores will need a special spot for people to go to load their groceries in their car, though, because if enough cars are doing it they can't all just line up in front of the store.

@Matt_Pinner I do. I keep a pad of paper on the fridge so we can write things on it all week as they get low. Then, just rip off the sheet and do your shopping. Easy peasy.

@DavidWolfe At my annual exam about a month ago I asked my doctor if taking certain supplements might help my thyroid and she said that was functional medicine. I'd need to go to a functional medicine doctor to ask those questions. And it's not covered by insurance. Nice.

This is why you have to scan your membership card at Costco. This is why they removed the onion and relish dispenser at the Costco food court. This is why Costco should raise its membership fee. You can't have anything nice or convenient.

@gatorgar Absolutely! We are currently using a washing machine and dryer set that's about 30 years old and we'll do whatever we can to repair them before we replace them simply because they don't have any of that fancy stuff.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: The first company to produce a cheap utilitarian car, phone, computer, and set of home appliances that just work without wifi, ads, and constant maintenance will overtake the current manufacturers in every one of their markets.
