From what I understand, the typical injection would potentially numb a QB's throwing hand, which wouldn't be ideal. Tough injury to manage for that position.

@KFANRosen We don’t need a backup we need a starter. He’s a pretty boy. Doesnt have the skills or pain tolerance to play in the league.

McCarthy’s durability will have to play into decision on upping the ante of a “quality”backup next season. He is constantly an injury waiting to happen
