So you believe America is “close to” THIS?: Iran's Revolutionary Courts (Dadgah-e Enghelab-e Eslami) serve as the regime's primary judicial mechanism for handling cases involving political protesters, dissidents, activists, journalists, and anyone accused of “crimes against national security.” Established by decree of Ayatollah Khomeini just days after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, these courts were initially created to purge officials of the former monarchy through swift, often summary proceedings. They have since become a permanent tool for suppressing dissent, operating with minimal due process and under heavy influence from the Ministry of Intelligence and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps intelligence units.
