"I conveyed the Government of Ghana’s strong condemnation of the continuous xenophobic attacks on Ghanaians and other Africans living in South Africa.
We are urging South African authorities to take decisive action in protecting the human rights and dignity of our nationals and all Africans."

Earlier today I summoned the Acting South African High Commissioner to Ghana, Mr. Thando Dalamba. At the meeting, I conveyed the Government of Ghana’s strong condemnation of the continuous xenophobic attacks on Ghanaians and other Africans living in South Africa. We are urging South African authorities to take decisive action in protecting the human rights and dignity of our nationals and all Africans. Ghana equally expects that the promised investigations be expedited and all perpetrators punished to serve as adequate deterrence. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will communicate other steps we have taken in due course.

This morning, I shared a post on this platform condemning the tribalism of Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, who masquerades as a fighter against illegal immigration while pushing xenophobic, Afrophobic and tribalist messages.
A lot of her supporters came to my wall to defend her, saying she was young when she posted those things. I do not understand what they mean by young, because Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma is 39 years old, with biographies published this year listing her date of birth as 6 July 1986.
They also say those posts were made a while ago. But even if you go back to 2014, she would already have been 27 turning 28 that year. That is not a child. That is not someone too young to understand the meaning of what they are saying. That is an adult who knew exactly what she was doing.
And here she is again, just two weeks ago, singing along while insulting the Shangaan ethnic group of South Africa. These are not foreign nationals. She is insulting her own fellow compatriots, fellow South Africans. So this nonsense about youth and old posts does not wash. It is a pattern. She is a tribalist. You can say anything you want, but she is a tribalist.
Tribalism should never, ever be defended by anyone with common sense. It is a tool that was used against us as black people on this continent by colonialists and by those who sought to divide African communities.
I do not condone illegalities at all. I, just like General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, am opposed to vigilante groups that go around harassing people and demanding proof of immigration status. That is not their job. It is the responsibility of the South African Police Service and the country’s immigration authorities, not random groups taking the law into their own hands. It is dangerous and unacceptable.
Once we start allowing people to insult others on the basis of their ethnicity, we are going down a terrible road, one that will tear communities apart. And people like Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma should be condemned in the strongest terms for promoting that kind of division.
We have terrible examples on this continent where tribalism was weaponised. In Rwanda, during the 1994 genocide, approximately 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus were massacred in about 100 days because of extremists who used ethnic identity to divide people and gain political power.
I urge all Africans, particularly South Africans who have common sense, not to accept this kind of divisive behaviour by people like Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma. Such conduct is poisonous to any society and brings nothing but division. It started with attacks on Zimbabweans and Nigerians, and now it has extended to insulting fellow South African citizens.
We have even seen cases where a Venda person was beaten simply for not being able to speak Zulu. That is tribalism, plain and simple. Is that the South Africa you want.

This Zimbabwean Woman sold a South African man a plate of beef stew and Sadza( Pap) at her roadside stall in Johannesburg.
After eating her food, the man refused to pay her R35. A small arguement ensued over non payment. The South African man got upset that an African foreigner is talking to him like that. He brought out a gun and shot her three times in the head and throat. She died on the spot. In the video I watched, he walked away like nothing happened and tucked back his pistol behind him.
He can afford a gun and bullet but can't afford a square meal. Sh!t hole country with sh!t hole people.
