@HoneyboyWilson6

We have failed the young people of this once great country. I will not use preferred pronouns.

@mdt546 Opposition just needs to ask Carney one question, will you retire in Canada?

Many people are convinced, including me, that Carney and Liberals have topped out and Pierre Poilievre has bottomed out. Cracks are starting to show in Carneys polling - the happiness factor is decreasing and fewer and fewer belive the country is headed in the right direction. These are not voting intentions but they can’t be ignored. And I do believe along with the Toronto Suns Gunter that Poilievre’s Rogan interview marks the beginning of his turnaround

@myabradshaw78 If Canada developed its resources and had spending under control, there would be no need for an income tax.

This tax season, nearly 22 million Canadians will keep more money in their bank accounts because of Canada’s new middle-class tax cut.

Don’t ever trust a political commentator who wears bright blue shiny glasses. They are a device to deflect your attention from the complete bullshit flowing from his mouth. He’s the male version of Laura Blabcock.

Scott Reid on the risk of meeting with MAGA allies: "Pierre Poilievre's got to be careful that he doesn't look like he's vying for the position of MAGA's most preferred Prime Minister of Canada. Because that ain't going to play with Canadians."

@Smileyyeg @CoopTory I could take public transit, a stop is conveniently right across the street from our house, but I have to walk home if I stay out past 8 PM.

@CoopTory As a person who has never driven, does not have a license, and only uses public transportation: No. No it is not. Never, not once, not even a little. I mean, really truly, not at all.

"We will reverse Prime Minister Mark Carney’s cuts to immigration levels." This is probably among THE single most unpopular positions a Canadian politician could take these days. The NDP are not very good at politics.
Avi Lewis@avilewis

Immigrants are part of the solution, not the problem.  Thanks to Diary Marif for the opportunity to have this important discussion. newcanadianmedia.ca/federal-ndp-ca…

In 1972, when supply management was established, Canada had about 45,000 dairy farms. Today, we’re down to barely 9,000. Proportionally, the U.S. experienced a similar decline—without quotas. Supply management doesn’t save the "family farm". It doesn't save anything.
Markham Hislop@politicalham

An old boss of mine once explained dairy supply management as the price Canada paid for family farms. Do you want corporate farms or family farms? Even if family farms are corporations, they're still owned by Canadians. Or do you prefer US corp ownership of Canada's farms?

A skilled immigrant that actually speaks English?! Nope, that's a problem. Canada immigration system claims that a lady from the UK has a problem with her English test so she is getting her work permit denied and might get deported. We literally immigrate hundreds of thousands of people every year that are low skilled and have no English skills, nevermind that we have a whole immigration category for people who don't speak English specifically. Incompetence. Corruption.

@HoneyboyWilson6 @TLNewmanMTL This suggests the carrier can override the settings on my phone. Force the phone to receive alerts even when toggled off in Settings/Notifications/Advanced/Wireless Emergency Alerts? There's really no way to test that, unless I set up a microcell and target my S24U.
