Hannah's Memorial Playground

Today we played! Jumped, slid, spun, ran, laughed, and cried. We spent the day together honoring Hannah with joy. Thank you to everyone who has supported our project. We do not have the right words, or enough of them to express the gratitude felt today @IPSSchools @GWJulian57

1 year ago today we held the dedication of Hannah’s Memorial Playground at George Julian School 57. We continue to honor Hannah by coming together to play on the playgrounds built by her family, friends, and community. 🦋❤️

It was a very hot morning, but the the playgrounds look amazing! Thank you @PlayworksIND and our @OneAmerica volunteers!

A huge THANK YOU to @OneAmerica and @PlayworksIND who had a beautification day for Hannah’s Memorial Playground. They installed a sensory path, two 4 square courts, hopscotch, and repainted the basketball court lines. We are excited to see these fun additions to our space!

We continue to work on smaller details and additions to Hannah’s Memorial Playground. Today we added 2 new garbage cans! (One on each playground) Help us keep the spaces looking beautiful by throwing away all your trash 🗑️ @GWJulian57

Council adopts Proposal No. 88, a special resolution recognizing the grant opening of Hannah’s Memorial Playground.

We hope that everyone who visits will feel Hannah’s memory in this space where she played, surrounded by things she loved, built by a community who thought of her in every decision we made. Thank you to those who donated, gave their time, work, & love to this project. @IPSSchools

7-year-old Hannah Crutchfield was killed in a crosswalk car crash while walking home from school in September 2021. Students at Hannah’s school came up with the idea to redesign and reconstruct two conjoined playgrounds in her honor. bit.ly/3xY8Mow via @LeeVGaines

This afternoon we gathered at @GWJulian57 for the dedication of Hannah’s Memorial Playground, in memory of Hannah Crutchfield. This space will be a source of fellowship and joy for generations to come, ensuring Hannah’s legacy lives on.

Hannah Crutchfield was a 1st grader 
at George W. Julian School #57 who tragically passed on 9/14/21. Today her school honored her by remolding the playground and renaming it in her honor @HonoringHannah @AleesiaLJohnson @IndyMayorJoe @SenatorHunley @JasonLarrison @wpritchard7
