@CrosbyJonathon And many of the HS coaches equal or more guilty. Some AAU guys do keep it real.

Yall noticing all these top of class athletes are hitting transfer portals. I believe some of this comes when aau teams and coaches let them do whatever they want. Once they make it to organized ball they have a issue falling into there role. This will continue to be a issue till leadership takes control at a young age if mom and dad isn't happy their kid is seeing bench time let them leave. You have to be the first person in there life to show them true diversity.

@reidouse This coach has had limited success in subsequent years. if we could watch 20 ball players in a gym for about 20 minutes - I’d let him choose his first 5 players and my team could beat brakes off him. There are grandmas in the stands that are better than some of these guys.

A coach who thinks they have all the answers is the most dangerous person in the gym. The best coaches are relentless learners.

@reidouse Had a coacj tell me once that he put 29 players in D1 (as an assitant). Asked me how many I had? Zero I said (don’t coach for a living). He’s a “development” guy that chased single moms to their cars at AAU tourneys begging their sons to come play for his high school team

@MATurner502 One year Coach Cal tracked hockey assists at Kentucky. They weren’t necessarily tracking who had the most… They were tracking who had the fewest. Those were the ball stoppers

The coach who complains about "kids these days" is the one who has failed to adapt their communication. The kids haven't changed; the world has. Evolve.

There's no such thing as traveling in the NBA anymore. Jalen Green took SIX steps in a 1-point game with 25 seconds left... no call 😭

BYU paid $7 million to AJ Dybantsa. He led the nation in scoring. Cool. They finished 10th in the Big 12 and were a 6-seed in the NCAA Tournament after losing a key guard to injury. They lost to an 11-seed Texas team that finished 10th in the SEC. Is that NIL $ well spent?

Miami of Ohio is what college bball should be about. Just a group of kids that play together and know how to play. They are very well coached and they have no fear. The 1 thing stood out to me was their ability to rotate on defense. The communication was special. Fun to watch
