Today, in Minnesota, the Justice Department charged 15 defendants in a major fraud crackdown involving over $90 million in losses — including the largest Medicaid fraud cases in the history of the district. These criminals allegedly stole from our country's most vulnerable: children with autism, the disabled, and the homeless. In one case, services were allegedly billed but never provided, leading to the death of the supposed recipient. This will not be tolerated. Minnesota will no longer serve as a safe haven for fraud, nor will any state in this country. This @DOJFraudDiv under Assistant Attorney General Colin McDonald and in partnership with @VP's Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, will hunt down fraudsters wherever they are and systematically dismantle their predatory schemes.

@MrAndyNgo I moved out of that town last year - so glad I moved to Duluth - so scared this town will soon be run by Somalians - I have PTSD from St. Cloud - 3rd world town straight out of Somalia - upsets me how the school system is done for in St. Cloud

More Somali Minnesota fraud?
Sunshine Care Services, run by a Somali man named Shukri Abdi out of St. Cloud, charges taxpayers to provide carers to people who need help. But some of those people have documented a pattern of those "helpers" fraudulently billing for hours where they didn't work.

A bittersweet day at the Capitol yesterday as I gave my final speech in the House Floor! I am deeply grateful to the amazing people of House District 37A for being able to serve our district for the past 8 years!

Our House Fraud Committee has put the Walz administration's feet to the fire since its first hearing last year. The creation of this committee was made possible by voters in the Iron Range and Winona, who, in 2024, flipped decades-long held Democrat seats that ended the DFL trifecta.
