7 of the next 9 Sharks games are against teams NOT currently in a playoff position. It’s do or die time if the Sharks are going to squeeze into the playoffs.
With 15 games left, I’m thinking the Sharks need at least 9 wins, probably more like 10 to get in the playoffs.

@Hopeful_Hal @markEmarkSJS I dont think top 5 is possible, even if they lost every game. With how good Colorado is, I dont think there is any benefit to whoever plays them. Whoever is WC2 gets swept. Hell whoever wins the Pacific, could get swept by Colorado lol.

@AlDaugereaux @markEmarkSJS They have the 15th fewest points, no Draisailt, remaining games: TB, 2 Utah, 2 VGK, LA, ANA, SJ, SEA, COL, CHI, and VAN. It could go sideways. Then some luck with the lottery.

@markEmarkSJS The better result is to tank. They could then use the two first round picks (one possibly top 10,) and a forward to get some defensive help. Might be able to get 3 good defensemen with that!

People keep talking about wanting Luca Cagnoni to be called up but the Sharks need Nolan Allan way more. Defending their blue line in is a far greater need than scoring from their opponent's. Allan has been a wall since joining the Barracuda. Luca's time will come too. #sjsharks

I don't think Bettman and the NHL get enough credit for being first to Las Vegas *and* changing the expansion draft rules to foster earlier success.
The @GoldenKnights have deep roots in that community and, IMO, can survive a crowded sports market there.

Just in: The NBA will hold a vote at the Board of Governors meetings March 24-25 to explore adding expansion teams exclusively in Las Vegas and Seattle, with the two franchises targeted for the 2028-29 season, sources tell ESPN. There is momentum for stakeholders to approve surveying what industry executives project will be bids in the $7-to-$10 billion range for each team.

@Sheng_Peng Let’s be real, it’s the Celebrini Effect. Everyone wants to root for a winner. People recognize that the Sharks will be a Cup contender for a long time starting in about two more years and the Sharks are very entertaining to watch.

On Montréal-Ottawa train this morning, saw more than a half-dozen separate parties sporting #SJSharks gear.
I’ve been taking trains between Ottawa and Montreal and Toronto on Sharks road trips since 2022, I’ve never seen that much teal.
Sharks fans are excited for their team once again, and not just in San Jose!
