A major milestone for our hospital! 🎉🥳 Today’s wall-breaking ceremony for our new 29-bed Observation Unit represents a major milestone in our hospital’s continued growth and patient care. It will reduce ED wait times and improve patient flow.

Members of the Visionary Council, local ambassadors for Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center, met with Dr. Pat Pugh, Chair and Medical Director of Emergency Medicine, to hear about new initiatives helping the emergency department better serve our community.

Congratulations to charge nurse Tini Philip, RN, for being named Employee of the Month for October! Recently, her clinical expertise made all the difference when she identified critical seizure activity in a patient that had gone undetected.

Congratulations to Joe Bufalini, PCT II, for being named the Starfish Award winner for Q3 2025! This award recognizes patient care technicians and constant observers who go above and beyond to provide compassionate care to patients and their families.
