With the FA now investigating the Southampton situation, what happens if they're found to have spied for the majority of their games? When Tonda Eckert took charge in November, Southampton were 21st in the league. If enough evidence of repeated cheating helped them go from a relegation fight to a promotion chase, could bigger sanctions be enforced?

@nshpHCAFC And sadly it demonstrates all the problems with football. The cash is so important a team like Southampton have had to resort to cheating, even with their very decent squad and parachute payments. All quite depressing.

So basically it’s all about money money money, not sporting integrity. Shame on Southampton! .

Hull City should be promoted automatically Southampton’s spying was wrong but does it justify giving Middlesbrough a free pass? NO. A team that lost a semi final shouldn’t be in the final. Simple.

@gaylesian What like when the fixtures are released in advance? There shouldn't be a bye, should be played on the pitch, Boro and Hull have both been put at a disadvantage by all of this, not by their doing. Think it will be a cracking game. Southampton have caused this not Acun.

Bit confused over all this outrage from hull owner about now having to face Boro and no time to prepare, what would they have done if they just played a Championship game last night and then play again Saturday which is normal in this league.
