@JasonBecker4955 my RX "cart tractor" also pulls my salford over every acre and the litter spreader at 12mph. dont think any old hoopties are going to do that.
English

@JasonBecker4955 his comment kind of overlooks the fact that a tractor can be used for multiple jobs. odd omission, considering the comment is mocking inefficiency
English

Never understood this logic. We run newest tractor on the cart usually. Why on earth would I go buy another tractor and have more tires to replace, problems to fix…just to use on a graincart. Run what you’ve got 🤷♂️
adam baldwin@iamyourfarmer
I don’t know where this fits, but when ever I see an 8RX on a grain cart I think, that’s a really expensive tractor to just pull a grain cart around. Those guys could be money ahead to have an older cheaper cart tractor. But you gotta look good on the gram.

@LongTplexTrader That is the softest rollover I've ever seen. He barely broke the driver side mirror

@iamyourfarmer I have one rule. Don't buy equipment from Missouri. Been burned before. That state can put 10,000 hours of use on 1000 hour tractor

@steeke7 I need to sit down and learn what API even means. Every time I try to build something Claude is telling me I need this or that API. But yeah it seems like that opens up a ton of possibilities
English

@HorFarms It would be cool if you could pay API usage from some of these sites to get all the past auction and pricing data, to build a sweet pricing tool, plus time of year pricing trends.
English

Interesting results so far! Starting to feel like my personal equipment consultant searching across multple platforms (Auctions, Tractorhouse type websites, FB Marketplace).
I can see a pretty useful app for this in the future!

Michael Steeke 🌾@steeke7
Ran a Claude Cowork project to watch for pricing on JD 8320-8520 machines looking to find me the best deals on hours and feature. Then set it to run on a schedule so it will give me a weekly report. Pretty neat. It’s set to scrape auctions, tractor house, machinery Pete, etc and local Facebook.
English

@HorFarms Currently it’s back projecting hours till 15000. So 15000 life expectancy minus current divided by base price before feature costs. Definitely could use some fine tuning!
English

@iowanfarmer its been a long time. i believe so. we always avoided the gnarly covers like vetch though. my history as been radishes, winter peas, buckwheat, clover, and grasses. winter peas wouldve been the viniest of those. i dont think they wouldve been an issue in covers
English

@HorFarms I saw those in the catalog today. Did you use them in covers?
English

@iowanfarmer they make a cast copperhead now. i like the schlagels a lot also, but if youve got thick viney covers then id stick with copperhead
English

@JomboyMedia couldve had gunnar there...with raleigh coming in for bregman. this is atrocious
English

@iamyourfarmer Are you going to make this available for other farms?
English

@ndrockfarmer @JohnDeere Pay for deere to install it one time and the warranty goes from 6months to a year. Then they are all freebies. I have two RTs.
English

@ndrockfarmer @JohnDeere Oh that reminds me to get my annual warranteed air suspension control valve from deere. Replace in april and if lucky youll make it through harvest, if not, youll make it a couple hours.
English

@MatthewCKrueger @NickHorob i know i can do it between my iphone and laptop
English

@NickHorob Did I miss any way though that chats/tasks can still be opened and continued on another computer? If not - that’s my only dislike about it. I have my Mac mini in my office and then my pro book at home/mobile.
