Awful take. JGTH was ahead of its time. Innovative. Daring. It challenged the status quo & pushed both the franchise & the genre forward. Much like Cronenberg’s work, the masses might dismiss it but cinephiles dig in & embrace the madness.
JGTH is a brilliant film.

Mike Flanagan will bring Stephen King's THE MIST back to the screen with a brand new movie for Warner Bros.
Flanagan will write & direct the new adaptation of King's tale, which was previously turned into a 2007 movie and a one-season TV series in 2017.

All I see now is a massive tourist trap money vacuum.
The glitter and shine that made this city pop has worn off..
What used to be an exciting adventure of “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” has turned into watching herds of tourists walk around aimlessly as they suck down sugar daiquiris…
All I see now are the ruined remains of a once great boxing mecca and infamous nightclubs.
It has now been traded in for enormous overpriced shopping centers and food courts.
Each one disguised with its own cheesy theme of decorated fake gold casted pillars and styrofoam statues.
Vegas has lost its soul.

Monty Brown, Low Ki, Magnum TA, and Ken Shamrock come to mind for me.
I think Eddie Gilbert, Sean O’Haire, Owen Hart, Bray Wyatt, Art Barr, and Mike Von Erich were all tragedies but it feels weird listing them.
