Canada needs to create its own NEW DEAL Program. Roosevelt part II. It has to be done by industry not govt with material tax cuts and capital incentives for massive infrastructure project builds to attract new global capital and encourage domestic capital deployment.
All projects have to be associated with moving energy, materials, manufacturing and agriculture AWAY from the U.S. and to global markets.
Massive hiring program associated with each project. Employ young people across the country in its deployment and construction. Use it as a means for training and development for the trades. Welders, pipe-fitters, electricians, etc…
Right of way access fully secured and backstopped by the Federal govt. Use of the Emergency Act to shut down court challenges by environmental groups and even Provinces.
This would be akin to why we built the railroad coast to coast. To unite the country and stop the Americans from coming north.
Yes healthcare is free in Canada but this is what you get in Alberta where 40% of the province budget goes for healthcare. From a born and raised Canadian.
#Alberta's #oil producers have gotten leaner, and while not meaner (they're still #Canada-ians, after all) they have slowly-but-steadily become more efficient and cost effective in terms of production.

@ToewsforAlberta I believe Travis Toews is the best leader to ensure Alberta’s business environment and prosperity remain one of the best in North America. #ucp#alberta#toewsforalberta
Thank you @HorsmanJon for your endorsement. I am committed to continue moving our province forward and building on the gains we've made so far. #ucpldr#AbLeg
Zaheer and I are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a great Albertan, Doug Mitchell.
We, like countless Albertans, admired his affection for our province, reflected through his decades of community service.
Our deepest condolences to the Hon. Lois Mitchell and family.
Hardisty is incredibly important to Alberta’s resource exports. Did you know that 4.1 million barrels of oil flow through the town every day? With oil representing 35% of Canada’s GDP right now, that’s a lot of value.

Was great to run into my friend Justin Bourque at the Stampede.
Justin is doing some amazing work as the CEO of Willow Lake Metis Nation as they work towards establishing the next Metis settlement in Alberta.
He is setting a fantastic example for future leaders. #abpoli
Hoping that everyone is safe in the Sundre and all the way up to Rocky Mountain House after the tornado touch down. Hearing that some homes have been hit, but hopefully all the residents are safe. 🙏
Calgary's storm was pretty crazy but nothing like that insanity.
@MelissaMbarki@FairQuestions You need to check out @HorsmanJon's @Alberta_UCP leadership race platform. He's addressing that issue directly by having Chief Isaac Laboucan-Avirom serve as 1 of his co chairs! Time to let Indigenous leaders sit on BOTH sides of the negotiation tables!

I spoke with UCP leadership hopeful, Jon Horsman, today ahead of his Calgary launch. More to come out of his late-entrance campaign I'm sure, but I'm sorry to disappoint @gthomsonink and fellow #ableg nerds: there appears to be no relation to Jim Horsman. edmontonjournal.com/news/politics/…
Please join me at the Hotel Arts at 5:30 pm on Tuesday July 5, as I launch my UCP Leadership Campaign. Given our unprecedented times, Albertans have asked me to bring fresh leadership and new ideas to face our current challenges and opportunities. #Horsman, #UCP
