The war in Iran hopefully ends with lasting peace & freedom for the long oppressed citizens of Iran. Sooner rather than later. Although, like most Albertans, I welcome the boost to our revenues, I don't want to benefit upon the suffering of others. IF oil prices stay...... 1of2

@DavidColetto What most Canadians don't understand is that most Albertans, even those opposed, want this referendum. Because most of us will likely vote NO and letting those who want to leave have that vote will hopefully put separation talk to bed once again for a decade or more.

On Alberta independence, Premier Smith may feel like the choice is between dividing her party into two (again) or risking splitting the country. It feels like she thinks she doesn’t have to choose. She can keep her party together, allow a referendum, and also hold the country together. This data is the most important to understanding that dynamic:

@MelKarl3 @cbcwatcher @S_MONEY11 @JeffreyRWRath He sure did! I have had disagreements with him, mainly over style, but he sure succeeded in sticking up for Albertan's right to vote on referendum questions BECAUSE nothing done thus far infringes upon ANYONE'S rights! Nor will it, ALL consultations will begin only if YES wins.

Jeffrey Rath was on Power and Politics tonight... full hit "If you do IT under section 1 of the Referendum act, there's no ability whatsoever for the court to get involved because even Justice Leonard agrees at that point. The Supreme Court of Canada and the secession reference says the courts have no role to play and no jurisdiction because it's a purely political issue." And after all the accusations of separatists being foreign funded, Rath points out that the fist nations are being foreign funded "And I'm sure that the first nations, because they're being funded by the Tides foundation and funded by George Soros and funded by foreign money, will fight every single step of the way because they have billionaires backing them." @JeffreyRWRath

@cbcwatcher I've disagreed with Jeffrey Rath on a number of things, mostly when he goes way too nasty & personal unnecessarily. But his defence of the Constitutional Law, that the lower court judges apparently ignored or don't know, was extremely well done! So KUDOS to Jeff for defending AB

@paul__sullivan @JonFromAlberta @CoryBMorgan @JeffreyRWRath Will Elections Alberta disqualify all the signatures collected by the 100 Centurion Project canvassers aligned with Parker? Because they were working off of the Elector List? It was a good concept soured by a DUMB use of an improperly accessed list. Has David apologized yet?

I’ve deliberately avoided reading most of the back-and-forth between @CoryBMorgan and @JeffreyRWRath because I honestly don’t like seeing leaders in the Alberta independence movement fighting publicly. But at this point it’s becoming hard to ignore, and I think a lot of Alberta Independence supporters are feeling the same way. To be clear, I respect both of these men. I listen to both of them. I read Cory Morgan’s articles often, and Jeff Rath has been one of the strongest public spokespeople for Alberta independence. Both have put serious time and effort into growing this movement through public appearances, interviews, writing, social media, and constant engagement. Do I agree with everything either of them says? No. And thats a good thing! Albertans are not sheep. This movement was never supposed to be about blindly following one person. Different opinions, different strategies, and different personalities are normal. What worries me is when disagreements start turning into distractions. From the outside looking in, a lot of what’s being argued about feels small compared to what’s actually at stake for Alberta. We need to be focused on building something. Fundraising. Organization. Advertising. Volunteer coordination. Crafting a clear message. Reaching new people. Preparing for what comes next. There are thousands of Albertans paying attention right now. Many are sitting on standby waiting for leadership, direction, and unity. I honestly think this just needs to be settled somehow. Have a private phone call. Meet in person. Go on a neutral podcast together. Shake hands. Agree to disagree. Make peace and move forward. Because Alberta independence needs strong voices working together. JUST SETTLE IT, PLEASE. ALBERTA INDEPENDENCE NEEDS UNITY.

@FreeAlbertaRob Please run it by a grassroots focus group before signing & announcing. Sometimes politicians & bureaucrats don't see these big deals the way the general public will. Sometimes they do. Best to be sure before committing the @Alberta_UCP Gov't future to this deal.

A pipeline to Asia generating over a trillion dollars in economic activity will be the most economically important investment in our province’s history. Almost there.
Danielle Smith@ABDanielleSmith

Today Prime Minister @MarkJCarney and I made significant progress towards reaching an agreement on a west coast pipeline and carbon pricing that will protect Alberta ratepayers and businesses, and result in hundreds of billions of new investment in the Alberta and Canadian economies.  Although there is still some work left to be done to get to the finish line and ensure the interests of Albertans and our industries are properly protected, I am now much more confident this will be completed well before Alberta’s west coast pipeline submission to the Major Projects Office next month. Stay tuned Alberta :)

@acoyne You are actually one of the biggest Proponents of Alberta separation. Because they simply use your words to show middle of the road Albertans the level of disdain & arrogance that Eastern Elites have for us. If the federalists don't work to keep us, the vote will be to leave.

What is Jason Kenney's end game? Does he just like the spotlight? Addicted to power? Vindictive? Seeking redemption? Looking for a patronage appointment? Compromized? Why do assholes like him keep hanging around. Doesn't he have better things to do??

@cspotweet What did you have to say when the @albertaNDP posted my pic & name on their website as an "Enemy of the State"? For years! I received death threats, reported to the RCMP, they did nothing. FB gave them timeouts. I'm pissed that my address is now out for all the angry fools.

@Martyupnorth Why did you guys post his info & address on screen? I've received death threats from the unhinged left for a decade. @albertaNDP posted my name & pic on their website as an "Enemy of the State" ffs! I'm pissed that you guys leaked all our info! Is Parker's & your address public?

@jkenney @JimmyBianchi It's not just the unhinged right that's dangerous. From 2016 thru 2021 the @albertaNDP posted my pic & name on their official party website as an "Enemy of the State". During that time I received numerous death threats. There are unhinged leftists also. Punish all the leakers!

Don't hold back, go after them including the NDP who posted it without blurring out your info. I'm pissed off that my name & home address is out there because for years the @albertaNDP had me posted on their website as an "Enemy of the State". I received death threats b/c of it!
Jason Kenney 🇨🇦🇺🇦🇮🇱@jkenney

I understand that my personal information, including my home address, was shared publicly on a screen at a recent Alberta separatist event. It was also recorded on video, and is now circulating. This was apparently part of the outrageous data leak of Albertans’ private information, wherein Elections Alberta shared its entire detailed provincial voter database with the “Republican Party of Alberta,” which in turn shared it with some separatist group called the “Centurion Project,” whose leadership then shared my personal information publicly. Over the past few years I have received no shortage of threats from people broadly associated with the separatist / antivax / far right movement in Alberta. So it is disturbing that my personal information is now broadly available, particularly in those circles. While I have been targeted specifically, the broader data breach may also effect vulnerable Albertans, including victims of domestic violence, journalists, activists, judges, and other public servants for years to come. I will retain legal counsel to seek advice on recourse regarding this outrageous and potentially dangerous violation of my personal privacy.

Dear Senator Sanders, Oh, this is RICH. This is so perfectly, exquisitely, weapons-grade rich that I had to put down my anatomy exams and just... appreciate it for a moment. The man who got thrown out of a SOCIALIST HIPPIE COMMUNE in Vermont in 1971 — after THREE DAYS — for refusing to do any actual work while everyone else planted, harvested, and hauled water, is out here telling me the OLIGARCHS want to control everything. Three. Days. The communists gave you a longer trial period than most employers give to someone who steals from the register. Here is what Jim Quinn's Law Number Two says, and I want every single person reading this to tattoo it somewhere useful: "If you want to know what liberals are up to, pay attention to what they accuse conservatives of doing." Senator, you OWN THREE HOMES. A Burlington residence. A D.C. townhouse. A $575,000 vacation lake house in North Hero, Vermont — purchased in 2016, the same year you were touring the country telling college students the system is rigged. Your net worth sits somewhere between $2.5 and $3 million. You have pocketed over $2.5 MILLION in book royalties since 2011. That elevator is clearly not stuck between floors for you, is it. And then — THEN — during your "Fighting Oligarchy Tour" with AOC, you spent over $550,000 in CAMPAIGN FUNDS on PRIVATE JET TRAVEL. Half a million dollars on luxury jets to lecture working Americans about the dangers of wealth. When Fox News caught you boarding a Bombardier Challenger 604 — a jet that runs up to $15,000 PER HOUR — you did not apologize. You did not even blink. You looked directly into the camera and said, and I am quoting this verbatim because it is the most accidentally honest thing you have ever said: "You think I'm gonna be sitting on a waiting line at United?" Senator. THAT IS OLIGARCHIC THINKING. That is TEXTBOOK "the rules apply to you people, not to me." That is the elevator music of every single billionaire you have spent 35 years pretending to oppose. In a battle of wits with your own stated beliefs, you showed up completely unarmed. Thirty-five years in Congress. You know what your personal legislative output looks like? Eight bills passed. EIGHT. In three and a half DECADES. That works out to 0.23 bills per year. I have produced more graded anatomy exams in a single semester. Your two greatest solo legislative achievements — the ones with your name on top, the thing YOU actually DID — are the naming of a post office in Danville, Vermont, and the naming of a post office in Fair Haven, Vermont. You named. Two. Post offices. You are as useful as a screen door on a submarine when it comes to actually passing legislation, but you want me to believe you are the vanguard of the working class. That sounds like a YOU problem. Quinn's Law #25: "Liberals are great at giving away other people's money." You have been living PROOF of that law for 35 years. You give away everyone else's money — from a vacation home on a lake — while spending half a million on jets because you are far too important to wait in line with the taxpayers funding your lifestyle. You want to talk about oligarchs controlling the media? You have been IN the media for four decades. You just finished a $75 million documentary. You have a book deal. You have a podcast. You HAVE the megaphone and you are using it to tell people that other people have the megaphone. The gene pool really needed a lifeguard for THAT particular reasoning. I am a high school science teacher in Northeast Ohio. I support a family of six on a teacher's salary. I am not particularly impressed by a man with three houses, $550,000 in jet receipts, and 0.23 bills per year telling me he stands with the working class. More famous than wise, Senator. More famous than wise. The hippie commune knew it in 72 hours. How long is it going to take everyone else? IF you agree: LIKE this post so the algorithm shows it to people who need to read it. SHARE this. COMMENT below — do YOU think a man with three homes and a half-million dollar private jet habit speaks for working Americans? Tell me. And if you want MORE of this — the data, the history, the science, the stories — JOIN Bski's Classroom community on X or YouTube. But what do I know — I am only a science teacher who can actually do math, a retired Army combat medic who knows what genuine sacrifice looks like, and apparently one of the few people left who finds it suspicious that the most vocal enemy of oligarchy just cannot bring himself to wait in line at the airport with the rest of us. @JoJoFromJerz @GuntherEagleman @catturd2 #MAGA #Veterans #Trump

The Oligarchs want to control it all: our economy, our media, our political system. Today, workers around the world are joining together in solidarity to demand governments that work for ALL, not just the few. I am proud to stand on the side of the working class.
