Fellas I didn't think reading was this difficult. There is very clearly nothing in this tweet that says 2026 draft > 2027 draft prospects. A 2027 1st round pick cant line up at WR1b for the Eagles this season. You at least have a chance of finding one in 2026. That's my point.

Trading AJ Brown for 2027 picks would be a Jalen Reagor like Howie move. If the bridge is burned behind the scenes at least the 1st rounder being 2026 you had a chance to replace AJ with a 1st round calibre WR. I don’t see how you trade AJ without having a WR1b in place first

The Eagles traded a 1st and a 4th round pick for AJ Brown, a 25 year old receiver. They are not turning around and getting a 1st and a 2nd for 29 year old AJ Brown on a big contract. This shouldn’t be hard for people to comprehend.
