@brian_wolfman @HoffProf Yes, these skills can be acquired elsewhere (including my classroom!), but it would be hard to conjure up a more engaging way for highschoolers to learn these skills than mock trial.

@HowardErichson @HoffProf But those skills can be acquired in other ways too. Not saying that mock in-court exercises have zero value. But the large emphasis on those exercises (both curricular & extra-curricular) has always puzzled me. (And I'm a decades-long full-time litigator!)
