Just called in on Jenkyn’s Wood after the hockey at Llandysul today. As I have written before I can recognise some birdsong but the Merlin App has transformed my being able to identify the birds from their respective songs/calls. Images are from two different recordings

With one game remaining of the hockey season, Neath Men’s Firsts are secure in second place in their respective division. What a privilege to be part of this great squad and club in my 33rd season of club hockey and final year of my 50’s!

Glorious weather and scenery cleaning out nestboxes this afternoon ….

With 5 minutes of the game remaining we scored and then again in the 68th and 69th minutes!! I think I even did a little jump and certainly cheered when the third goal went in. What an effort from my 9 fellow teammates to create another hockey memory for my collection.

Unbelievable and surreal game of hockey yesterday. Played Carmarthen Athletic 1sts away for Neath 1sts. They had a full squad of 16 to call on, we were a man short with just 10 players. We conceded a goal in the first 60 seconds and a further goal in the second half. 1/2

Yesterday I was on a day trip to Rosslare from Fishguard. A big shout out to all the staff from organisations/bodies at both ports and Stena Line. They were exceptionally professional, helpful and welcoming at all times. The sunset was awesome too @StenaLine
