Hello Senator Thune, Wow. Just wow. Democrats didn't block Trump's nominees, @SenateGOP did. You had the majority. You failed. Republicans rejected Trump's picks. That's not on Democrats. We aren't Marxists; we believe in historical fact. And the fact is, you torpedoed @EagleEdMartin over manufactured outrage about January 6, while ignoring actual violence your constituents face. You don't get to revise the record. You own this. You talk about being the party of personal accountability. Stop attending lobbyist steak dinners and start showing it.

@CynicalPublius France already tried this, it did not work out like they thought it would. We should tax the gains of politicians who use insider trading to enrich themselves while f%@king the peasants. It won't raise much, but it would be very satisfying.

The idea of taxes on unrealized capital gains for illiquid assets is the stupidest economic policy ever dreamed up. It would be an economy-destroying measure that would basically eliminate the concept of privately owned companies (i.e., companies with equity not traded on the public markets). The death of private companies would result in the death of the major innovation engine that has made the USA the greatest economy in the world. Had such a scheme existed 50 years ago, Apple, Meta, Google, Tesla, Space-X, etc. etc. would never have come into being because they would never have been able to raise VC start-up capital. If this law were to come to pass, unemployment will skyrocket, innovation will plummet, standards of living will be reduced to third world levels, and capital will flee offshore. The nation will tumble into a decades-long Depression and none of the "social justice" ideas Big Chief Lizzie is speaking about will be affordable or even possible. This is the worst economic idea anyone has suggested in any of our lifetimes. But don't worry, Big Chief Lizzie will still get rich off of campaign contributions from the big banks and publicly-trade companies who will be the few beneficiaries of this nation-destroying idea.

@arlenparsa She parlayed those degree with honors into, checks notes, a bartending gig. She then got used to as a pawn to get elected. The other dropped out of college to take over family business and was very successful, parlaying it into a win to become a US Senator.

AOC graduated with honors from Boston University with double degrees in Economics and International Relations. Markwayne was the only Senator without even a bachelor’s degree. Hope that helps.

I guess you missed the point where I said in large buildings, ie stadiums, having hundreds of single stalls would not work, but in 90 % of businesses it would. Having floor to ceiling stalls would stop pervs from perving. Usually these large facility restrooms are full of women, if a guy were to enter he should righteously get his ass handed to him. I prefer banning pervs from restrooms, but we will never be 100% able to accomplish that short of locking them all up. Sadly, pervs don't where a big red P on their foreheads to forewarn us so we are stuck until they victimize someone. So they best option is to try to mitigate the risk as much as we can.

Do you hear yourself? First, you say it’s all fixed by getting rid of multiple occupancy. I point out that’s dumb because there are reasons for multiple occupancy. Then, you suggest just building even more bathrooms so that they can all be single occupancy. That’s dumb, because why would a business/public spend more money on an unnecessary hypothetical that would only serve to *possibly* mollify a fraction of a percent of people. Then, you suggested that if stalls were floor to ceiling, it wouldn’t matter who was in there at all. While still leaving vulnerable women in a situation where they are forced to share a single entry/exit point space with mentally Ill men, knowing that the types of people that could and would help her would NEVER invade her space. And then you suggested that we just fall back on vigilante justice instead of taking a stand and fixing things. We’ve never seen vigilante justice go wrong, ever… and that would open those vigilantes up to hate crimes. Not a single critical thought went into this.

In the Soviet Union, Communist China, Pol Pot's Cambodia and in other tyrannical communist states, innocent people routinely plead guilty to crimes they never committed so that their families would not be murdered. Consider that under the justice system created by Barack Obama, basically the same scheme was implemented. And you were an eager part of it you human filth.

I was a federal prosecutor for ten years. Going after corruption was the job. And I’ve never seen anything as openly corrupt as this.

Most businesses have no need for large public restrooms, 3-4 separate rooms is sufficient. Obviously, in large facilities this would not work efficiently. To mitigate any issue in this scenario is to install stalls with floor to ceiling walls and doors. I expect if some dude enters the ladies room at a stadium he will most likely be leaving on a stretcher.
