Sunak 05.08.2022 - I managed to start changing the funding formulas to make sure that areas like this (Tunbridge Wells) are getting the funding that they deserve because we inherited a bunch of formulas from the labour party that shoved all the funding into deprived urban areas

@JimBethell @MichelleMone @RishiSunak Update: I’m being told by people looking into message formatting that it looks like an iMessage rather than WhatsApp. However, Lord Bethell claimed he’d lost access to all SMSs on losing the phone. Seems to be getting them fine now. What else is in the treasure trove?

Dear Lord Bethell, According to you, you lost your phone "in early 2021" and, as a result, you were unable to access WhatsApp messages from 2020 or earlier. The screenshot above looks very much like a WhatsApp message (in dark mode) and is dated "4 Oct 2020". In which case, it looks like you do have access to your WhatsApp messages from 2020 and therefore there can indeed now be inquiry into "£85m of deals that are subject to a legal challenge." However in Nov 2021 her lawyers when asked why Mone did not declare PPE Medpro on her Lords Register of Interests responded "our client did not declare any interest as she did not benefit financially and was not connected to PPE Medpro in any capacity". #Mone

Mone was pressed on why she did not mention PPE Medpro in her registration of financial interests as a member of the Lords (a public disclosure). She said the Cabinet Office had advised she did not need to. Gov' spokesman in response to that..."we do not comment on legal cases".

"There are a very limited number of things I can say while this investigation goes on" Michael Gove cites the National Crime Agencies investigation into Michelle Mone over PPE, as a reason why he can't say anything further. He then dismisses the £billion in dodgy PPE suggesting it was the rush during covid that led to it. In actual fact, we had UK PPE suppliers who had stock but sold it outside the UK as they couldn't reach the UK gov as they weren't in the VIP lanes. And having worked in China, even I had contacts that could source good quality PPE but my efforts to reach gov buyers were ignored, presumably as I didn't have access to the government VIP lanes.
