if you sign a 30-year mortgage on a house in a country where you have a 3-year visa, there is something gravely wrong with your mind

What are my best options if I still have ETH as collateral on Aave and need to borrow stables against it right now? #Aave #defi

@Leishman @River Thank you for the clarification. I may switch over to River from CapitalOne sometime in the near future!

@HoyaWoh @River You pay tax at the FMV when you receive it and you would owe capital gains taxes on any appreciation afterward if you sell at a higher value.

Chase pays 0.01% interest. At @River you earn 3.3% on your cash in BTC and you can pay bills directly from your account. If you have a checking or savings account at Chase you're giving them free money.

@Leishman @River Thank you. But with BTC interest, you pay tax when you receive it at FMV, then once more when you sell into USD, correct?

tried to get a loan in tradfi using collateral. 7% interest and 10% of loan cost upfront. tried to get a loan in crypto using collateral. 3% interest and zero % of loan cost upfront. the middle man is cooked.

Is the @ether_fi Cash card considered a credit card? If a vendor adds a 3% surcharge for credit card payments, will I get hit with that extra fee when using the card? It puts a preliminary $175 charge when paying for gas... #etherfi

Using @ether_fi regularly, the spending volume milestones all make sense because you only find more and more ways to use it. I just booked a hotel room for 45% off list price and 17% less than what I could find on hotels[dot]com plus I’m getting 4.5-5% cashback on the txn. All paid in USD borrowed against my self-custodied weETH collateral, earning about 3%. Note: I booked a hotel for well under $500 here so I am not out here booking the Ritz. The @ether_fi Travel benefits work for people with both luxurious and affordable Dad-level taste. I am able to easily spend with stablecoins onchain, leverage DeFi in Borrow Mode, and save with cashback on spending. This is the only crypto card I use cuz it’s fully backed by a DeFi stack: ether.fi/refer/defidad

I think there is an opportunity for a small loans app on Ronin. We have the users for this. Credit starts at $10 and increases up to $350 . As users repay their credit line increases. I take a small cashapp loan all the time. I started with $20 credit now I'm at $375. It's like a game haha.

Not too shabby😏 Digging this @ether_fi Lux metal card. Riding this bottom while stacking that sweet 3% ETH cashback. My card journey past year: Chase Sapphire → @Gemini → now @ether_fi Lux. If anyone’s eyeing a crypto card, give this a go: ether.fi/refer/3e2b8246 #etherfi

ngl, DeFi borrowing is actually useful. Like, you can just borrow for every day needs, like that motorcycle, or the cruise with the mistress. You don’t have to borrow to farm. You can actually borrow to live. Wild.
