@justahaloguy Oh they will return, I’m sure of it. Don’t forget the one they’re working on, on Onyx. Perfect time to introduce Mendez in a game, and a task force composed of grunts, elites and humans. All of them controlling the guardians to pew pew those silly Banished 😂

I’d love to see Guardians return to Halo. But considering how they were treated/explained away in Halo: Outcasts, Empty Throne and Epitaph, I’m not too confident we’ll see them again. But I’d love to be proven wrong!

What’s an appropriate length (in hours) of gameplay for Halo 7? Considering it’s going to be a 6 - 7 year span of time between Halo 7 and Infinite, how many hours is worth that wait?

@justahaloguy Fwiw, MANY do “choose this.” Every in-person event is always a great reminder of this community that shares a love for Halo (and each other). Negativity is just inherently amplified on social. (I’m not saying criticism isn’t warranted)

@justahaloguy I honestly think it would be more like Halo 8/9. Then he can go do his diplomatic corps stuff with Joyeuse and they can have an epilogue novel with him taking down a whole insurrection with pure negociation and no violence.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Halo 7 was his ending.

@lastchalice Kelly Gay needs to write both games and books. She would smash every industry standard and get to the top. She has the potential to become the most unbelievable writer in the video game industry. And Halo would profit as a whole for decades.

I first played Halo on December 26th, 2004. I started with Halo 2. It immediately challenged Ocarina of Time for my favorite game of all time. I dived head first into the lore, books and replaying the only two games that were out back then. Bungie was my favorite developer. Halo 3, ODST and Reach were all excellent additions that only made my interest in the series grow to higher heights. I was concerned when the reigns to the franchise were handed over to a new studio. They had a lot to prove. As it stands now in 2026, it would be foolish to claim that Halo is in a good place, its relevance has never been lower. This doesn’t change the fact that 343 made some good (even great) games over the years that kept the series alive and were enjoyed by millions. Many hold one or several of their titles as their favorite entries in the series. Nuance rarely drives home a point as well as extremes do, but I’ll try anyways. 343 makes good games, games that I and others enjoy very much. Things also could have been done better at several different points in time. We should always advocate for a higher standard and it’s clear the series has seen better days, but I can’t pretend I haven’t had a blast over these last 15 years. I’m looking forward to what’s next.

@justahaloguy I only see that kind of hate on twitter and sometimes in the Halo official discord. Some people just spend their day looking for excuses to post hate towards Halo

@ske7ch @Code9er @Halo_VFX Do what you need to do and don’t listen to these people. Even though there is improvement to do regarding management, I believe in you guys doing all hard work behind the scene.

Hard to remember when it wasn’t always super serious doom posting and infighting and data mining and rumors. I totally get it, especially when it always drives engagement, but yeah, I think we all long for when it was about having fun and shared enjoyment of a videogame. We’ll get back there 🙏

@DarkSoulBert @JezCorden The most recent ones have genuinely been outstanding. Kelly Gay is the kind of writer that can achieve such a feat, you can look for any topic mentioning her as proof if you wish to. She wants to write for a Halo game, and if she does it will exceed your wildest hopes. 😉

@HuanRyder @JezCorden Outside of the games? Maybe, but the games have never portrayed a well written story or characters imo. I read a couple of the books years ago but it just wasn’t for me🤷‍♂️
