The Board has also hired Municipal Resources Inc. as a consultant to lead the search for a new Town Administrator. The search begins this week as the newly appointed Search Committee works with the consultant to bring qualified candidates to the Board by October.

The Select Board appointed Sandy Nason to serve as the Interim Town Administrator until they hire a permanent executive. Sandy currently serves as the town's Treasurer Collector and has more than 17 years of municipal finance experience.

Last month Pitney earned the rank of Eagle Scout, completing a flag retirement collection box currently located outside of the Town Offices. Select Board Chair Jeff Williams lauded James for his dedication to the community and for continuing to demonstrate unlimited potential.

The Select Board and The Country Hen jointly presented their $1,000 annual scholarship to Hubbardston resident James Pitney. James will be attending Clark University in the Fall and plans to study game design. @TheCountryHen
