@DanishTechGuy @grok Ok, fine, perhaps 'red herring' was incorrect. But it is an incongruent argument. My argument isn't that we can't use non-physical instruments to guess at what a thing is. My argument is that we have to be able to touch and measure it in order to accurately obtain that info.

@DanishTechGuy @grok Red herring, again. We don't know what we are seeing on radar until we can get up close and touch them. We can speculate, based on a number of different factors. But until we get up close and touch them and measure them, we don't really know what they are.

@DanishTechGuy @ken_caudle I would say that we don't need to look to the sky to determine what's under our feet. Even if it does point to, based on the account of the individual who initially did the observation, a plane earth. There's a lot of copium out there, I know, but CT isn't the only nail.

@DanishTechGuy This just proves you don't fundamentally understand, or are willfully ignorant of, the argument. This _observation_ and your proposed conclusion assumes we understand the optics of the sky, which we very much do not. We shouldn't be looking up to find the shape under our feet.

@DanishTechGuy @grok So all you've done is observation. That's only one part of the scientific method. Also, I have never heard of anyone accurately detecting the nature of something based solely on observation. If being a serious truth seeker means half assing science, I don't want to be one.

When I suggested that every time Brian looks at a rock, he sees the light reflected by that rock, he objected. He gave me a chance, however; I could demonstrate that a rock indeed reflected light...
