We’ve seen a lot of feedback that players’ ability to quickly revive after being downed during a fight is causing frustrations. When taking a look we felt that both the total time and contribution of the Revive Speed were too fast for the pace of tactical play we expect from Marathon.
In Update 1.0.9, we’re increasing the time it takes for a DBNO runner to self-revive with a Self-Revive kit and rebalancing how much benefit the Revive Speed stat grants you:
➡️ When the Revive Speed stat is at 0: 12s → 16s
➡️ When the Revive Speed stat is at 100: 7s → 12s

I would appreciate it if people stopped pretending no one ever cared about the Marathon franchise.
"They should've done x and y with Destiny" how about you let developers work on something else. Anything else. I don't know about you but if I was forced to work on the same game for 12 years I would at the very least want to branch out eventually.

They didn’t need a new PvP IP. They just needed to invest in Destiny’s PVP (maps and modes) and actually iterate on Gambit (a hill I’ll die on: it was a 10/10 idea). Instead they left both to rot while chasing a competitive extraction shooter that barely anyone asked for. As a 10k+ hour PvPer, I just wanted real focus on Crucible balance and weapon/ability tuning. If that was impossible, a breakaway competitive F2P hero/arena shooter reusing D2 assets and models with dedicated servers would’ve fit what they do best way better and cost far less than $250mn to make…

Marathon is a victim of 4 things:
1.Sony’s live service reputation.
2. Bungie’s D2 baggage.
3. Online grifters who's most played game is steamdb player charts.
4. The playtests were terrible.
The game itself is genuinely one of the best shooters in a decade.

As brain-dead as the steam chart spammers are it really does make me sad that more people aren't playing Marathon. Underrated isn't even the right word, it's just artificially hated which is just a bummer.
