A rough day for semiconductor stocks.
• Reports that China has made another step forward in DUV lithography raised concerns it’s becoming less reliant on Western chip equipment.
• CXMT’s blockbuster IPO reinforced the view that China’s domestic semiconductor industry is progressing faster than many expected.
The rest of the market was relatively strong, especially software, which was notably green.

Coin Bureau@coinbureau
JUST IN: Elon Musk’s SpaceX is crashing faster than Meta did after its IPO. SpaceX $SPCX has fallen from a $225.64 peak to below $110, wiping out more than 51% in just six weeks. That is faster than $META's infamous 2012 collapse, when shares fell roughly 61% from about $45 to $17.55 over around three and a half months.

The 7th richest person in the world and the CEO of $LVMH, Bernard Arnault, just created an X and tweeted for the first time today!
So two weeks ago we had Mark Zuckerberg post on X for the first time in years.
Last week we had Jensen Huang create and post on X for the first time ever.
And today we have Bernard Arnault create and post on X for the first time ever.
Based on this trend, it’s only right we see Warren Buffett come out of his dormancy and post on X! @WarrenBuffett

Think you’re running out of time?
Look at the numbers:
• The average person earns £37k in their mid-30s.
• The average first-time buyer is about 34.
• The average UK millionaire is in their late 50s.
Social media makes success look instant.
Real life doesn’t.
Stop comparing and start building.

A new week has started and those are the 2 biggest market events this week in my opinion.
Wednesday: Fed Rate Decision
A rate change is not expected — but the Fed’s tone could move markets.
✅ Dovish Fed = more open to future rate cuts
→ Usually positive for tech and growth stocks
⚠️ Hawkish Fed = rates may stay high for longer
→ Bond yields could rise and stocks may come under pressure
Thursday: GDP + PCE Inflation
GDP shows how fast the economy is growing.
PCE is the Fed’s preferred inflation measure.
Expected:
• GDP: +2.1% annualized
• Core PCE: +0.2% MoM / +3.3% YoY
The best outcome for markets?
✅ Solid growth + cooler inflation
→ A possible “Goldilocks” scenario for stocks
The biggest risk?
⚠️ Hot inflation
→ Fewer rate cuts and pressure on valuations
This could be one of the most important macro weeks of the summer.
Which event do you think will move markets more: the Fed or PCE?
And don't forget there are a ton of earnings reports. So buckle up!!

So I should’ve just pretended to have anxiety instead of working part time…
