The scenario requires both Villa to win the Europa League and Liverpool to win the Champions League while neither finishes in the top four domestically, which sounds far-fetched until you look at the table and realize Liverpool are only two points off fourth with games in hand and Villa are right in the thick of it meaning both could absolutely win in Europe and still fall short of the top four if results go wrong. The Premier League is essentially printing Champions League spots at this point, so at what point does UEFA look at England getting potentially seven clubs in their competition and decide the whole qualification structure needs to be rebuilt from scratch?
