@_alisanelson Are you referring to that conversation where you brilliantly defended your PhD thesis? On a side note, that review cites some of the great work by @gibalam and colleagues from whom I learned a lot about exercise physiology. I still have my lecture notes! It was a great class btw.

@KCKlatt @MolMetab @ferrolrome The enigma that is one-carbon metabolism! In this mouse model, homocysteine remethylation still appears to be a critical node (even though betaine isn't limiting). Perhaps, more consideration given to NAFLD subpopulations or combo approaches (betaine/choline +) is warranted?

@BrainMetabolism @ferrolrome Genotype and diet appear to impact liver creatine metabolism. GNMT KO decreases the guanidinoacetate/creatine ratio. Methionine restriction increases the phosphocreatine/creatine ratio. Important considerations for the hepatic and extrahepatic phenotypes, and future studies!
