@audricmoses Yes the UCP set up the stupid Municipal party rules. But following these rules don't make you a UCP plant. There seems to be no place for a Centrist, as soon as they say they will be pragmatic (try to work with the UCP....Has to happen in municipal politics) they are vilified.

@JacobsLabUofA I'll bet that if Cartmell hadn't gone the party route and had the same financial disclosure policy as Knack, he would've won. I had previously always thought of him as somewhat centrist, which is what it seemed like voters wanted.

Cartmell's going for the lowest-hanging fruit: people who ONLY drive who get annoyed with every delay, and incorrectly think bike lanes are the reason 🙄. Bike lanes reduce the # of cars on the road by making it easy/fun/safe to use alternative means of transport. #yegcc #yeg

Thrilled to preprint my postdoc work in the @IoannouLab ! 🚀 Using live-cell and two-photon imaging, we reveal that Parkinson’s-linked glucosylceramide changes drive the formation and shedding of ectosomes, fueling α-synuclein spread. This pathway has broad implication in PD.
