Twitter creator payouts were my lightbulb moment. Crypto creators were thrilled to get tiny payouts relative to their reach. And they would post about it… and the posts would go viral. It was a massive attention arbitrage right in front of everyone’s eyes, but no one was capitalizing on it. We also knew attention was the best proxy for value of a meme coin too. Combining these two insights led to the creation of Pacmoon. Creators would tweet about Pacmoon and earn $PAC based on their engagement. But unlike farms like Portal, we had a quality gate where every post had to be manually liked by the team to count. The idea worked. Pacmoon went viral and creators ended up receiving $7m in $PAC at its peak. It’s cool to see things evolving now with more advanced tech solutions like Kaito.
