@MarvelExrth616 Apparently someone didn’t watch WandaVision and see her “hex powers” explained. The reason the shell never went off…Wanda’s Magic. Several times those powers had removed her from life or death situations…pretty sure the red flash we see as Wundergore falls is the same thing.

We talk about MCU heroes by their powers. Nobody talks about how terrible their actual lives are • Peter Parker lost his parents, Uncle Ben, Tony, and Aunt May. Voluntarily erased himself from the memory of everyone who ever loved him. Currently lives alone talking to an AI named EV. • Wanda Maximoff lost her parents at age 10 to a Stark missile. Lost Pietro. Built a husband out of grief. Had children who got erased from existence. Traumatised an entire town. Died alone in a collapsing mountain. • Bucky Barnes spent 70 years frozen as a Soviet assassination weapon. Killed Tony Stark's parents with his bare hands. Remembers every single person he killed. Wrote their names in a notebook. • Thor lost his mother, father, brother three times, half of Asgard, and his eye. Now raising a daughter alone while preparing to fight the most powerful villain in the multiverse. One of them talks to a computer because she is his only friend.

As shit as some moments were, we took some steps towards more and more progress. Somehow 12th is already a better placement than we had all of last year on LAN and we were 9 points off 3rd. Not happy, but excited to keep improving and adapting to the awfulness that is TPP.

@atalaia_20 @StarWarsDaily_ Take EU/Legends material and new canon knowledge about Imperial Cloning Operations and Palpatine’s list for power, it’s very possible he could find a way. How they spun it…was horrible. I hated this because it circumvents what we already have knowledge of.

@StarWarsDaily_ Palpatine shouldn't have survived, because that kinda breaks out the "prophecy" of the "chosen one". First they said it was Anakin, then Luke, and now it's Rey. Besides, she has quickly learned powers that takes several years of practice.

@estherzelda0514 TLJ had 3 great things going for it: 1. Luke's characterization. Having Luke be a curmudgeonly reluctant master who thinks the galaxy is better off without Jedi is brilliant. 2. The Pointless Protagonist trope. 3. "You're nobody". SW doesn't need everybody to be related!!!

Fun fact: Lucas liked The Last Jedi, unlike the installments that Abrams directed. The reason is simple, and revealed here—he wanted something new. Further, the crap that the worst and most negative fans pile on Rian Johnson for Luke Skywalker's arc? That was heavily based on Lucas's own original ideas—a broken Luke in self-imposed exile, haunted by a betrayal of a student, cut off from the Force, and acting as a mentor to a young female protagonist only reluctantly. Hottest of takes here, but Rian Johnson was simply one of the best directors we ever had on a mainline Star Wars installment, and the fandom is full of childish idiots that should have been ignored. He has the originality of Lucas, respected his vision, and is innovative and the master of his craft. He managed to get more emotion out of the actors for Rey, Kylo, and Luke than Abrams ever did, and his special effects were interesting and spectacular. The throne room scene in particular was truly great. That more people do not appreciate what Johnson did is because they are philistines. He should have been allowed to direct and write all three installments. Somewhere in an alternative universe, people there got to enjoy a sequel trilogy that wasn't childish and derivative trash. I'm jealous.

@fandompulse More things like Andor and Clone Wars, great stories that give the viewer context to the time they cover. I still hope to see serious takes on the Old Republic and more exciting New Republic era material, but I feel the time has already passed for that.

@fandompulse …and, in the end, failed with a lack of filling out the world we already knew with more to color it (oft spoken of eras, force lore, non-force lore, early days of Sith and Jedi, etc). Also…not having a plan early on certainly didn’t help.
