@juliawants For my masters, I went long and with deets. Thanked my ex in my family section. I don't think I'll go back and read that part ever again. Will definitely go short and sweet for the PhD.

PhD friends, talk to me about the Acknowledgements section in your dissertation. I've noticed a few trends: a) short and sweet (some names, few - if any - details); b) long and effusive (many names, specific details); short and specific (some names, some details) #phdchat
