One of the most patriotic souls in San Diego County, 69 year old Kerry Sheron was knocked out then had his face stomped in repeatedly while replacing one of the many American flags adorning his humble home. The residence on the 700 block of Buchanan Street in Escondido, California, has long stood out in the community for its bold display of American flags, military banners, Trump 2024 signs, and other MAGA memorabilia. Locals commonly refer to it as the “Trump House” because of the extensive patriotic and pro-Trump decorations covering the property. On Wednesday afternoon (around 2:14 p.m.), police responded to reports of an assault in progress. The homeowner, an elderly man, was found critically injured and was rushed to a trauma center. He remains in intensive care with a life-threatening condition. A suspect fled the scene but was quickly located and arrested nearby. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet publicly disclosed a motive or further details about the attacker. Big surprise. This isn’t the first time the property has drawn hostility. Reports note that signs and displays there were previously vandalized or attacked about 11 weeks earlier. This is just another instance in the troubling pattern of targeted political violence against outspoken Trump supporters and patriotic displays, especially in deep-blue areas like California. Prayers go out for the victim’s full recovery and for justice in this case. Political differences will never justify liberal violence.
